sheet to a shirt

Last year at an estate sale, I bought a set of retro sheet for 25 cents. I have made a dozen things out of them and still have lots of fabric left. When I saw this shirt, I broke out the elastic thread, which I also got at the estate sale. I have not been real happy with this shirt and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I thought it looked cute on the blog I read. Was it the fabric, was it how it fit me? Last week I got it out of the closet determined to either figure something out with it or toss it back in the fabric box. When I added a belt I felt much better about it. I think maybe I will keep it.
