fairy dust and pirates gold

My mom and I spied these adorable bottles of 'fairy dust' at a local children's boutique. They were essentially just little bottles with glitter inside. She's a 'make it' kinda gal too and so we started the search for the perfect little bottle. We even came up with an idea for a boy version. We searched two thrift stores with no luck. The next morning we found ourselves at Crackerbarrel for breakfast and they brought us the perfect little bottles with our pancakes.

We snuck out some empty bottles. The labels came off easily in warm water. After they were dry, I filled one with girly colored glitter for Bee and gold glitter for Lou's.

I tied hemp cord around Lou's and and pink feathers on Bee's.

I made some little labels on the computer and just modge podged them on.

These are going to be fun in their stockings! I may need to go back and put a drop of glue under the lids.... these could be messy.

Such a cute idea! I don't think I would add glue... that way they can sprinkle it on special things that mom approves of and is watching over.

I always wonder what could be made from those bottles! great idea. Im thinking a little glue for now would be a good idea.

I definitely vote for glue! Call me a tired teacher, but I have been vacuuming up glitter for the past two weeks that first grade students seem to bring into the computer lab. :)

LOVE it!! How cute! But you definitely need to add glue, or it'll be everywhere!!
